This is what he wrote to us: "At the tender age of 17 just beginning my second semester of my senior yr of highschool and not knowing it would be the beginning of the toughest time of my life...As a senior my life was going as planned,finish highschool then off to college is what was planned as i thought..The first of my family members to go off to college was my goal but my dreams were about to change without my knowing it would.. Late one evening while hanging out with my school buddies and my younger cousin just being highschool kids..A couple of guys on their bicycles rode up to my front yard asking where i was from(what gang i was from) being the oldest of the group i said nowhere,just as i said that one of the guys pulled out a gun and shot me point blank in my face hitting me in my cheekbone and lodged in the back of my neck..Everyone ran as i played dead three more shots rang out and unfortunately i was hit through the shoulder one more time. As i heard the guys ride off on their bikes i got up and stumbled to my steps which was about 10-15 yrds away..By this time my cousin got my father and called 911 and i fell into my Dads arms..As i was weeping i told my father(GOD) i didn't want to die..I heard the ambulance coming and i just collapsed and didn't remember much else until they got to the hospital and as they opened the door to the ambulance the frigid night woke me up for a min,next thing i knew i woke up in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.. I was so happy to have made it,i did have to breathe with a tracheotomy tube and feed on a gastrostomy tube..I also ended up with a scar on my nose from the ER doctors trying to stop the bleeding..I'll take a scar for a life anyday..15yrs have past while living with the scars, and having to remember the day those guys shot me,very sad...I decided to finally seek professional help and i found and researched Dr. Young.. His resume was fantastic and i knew he was the one who will take care of my scars,He has given me a new look of confidence and also has gotten rid of that day.
