Perma Lip Augmentation by Dr. Young to improve the volume loss in the lips and lip thinning.
Dr. Young Discusses the Perma Lip Augmentation Procedure in the video below:
Good morning. We're doing perma lip implants or essentially silicon lip augmentation, where we take a silicon implant and we put it in the upper and lower lips.
Over here are the implants that we plan on putting into the lip. This is 4 millimeters in size. And there's three different sizes. There's a 3 millimeter, a 4 millimeter, and a 5 millimeter.
This is the wet/dry border of the lower lip. And this is the wet/dry border of upper lip. And that's where we're going to insert the implant. And this is the instrument here that we're going to use to actually to dissect the tunnel and grab the implant.
We made a little incision in the commissures at the corners of the lips. And we developed a pocket that goes all the way across. And at this point, we've already dissected the other side of the tunnel on the left side of the upper lip. And now we're going to do is use this special tunneler. And we're going to go across the lip.
So now we've gotten a tunneler all the way across the upper lip. So now we're grasped the implant and now we're going to pull it through. And so now we have the implant all the way across. And that's pretty much it.
