While skin cancers can be found on any part of the body, about 80 percent appear on the face, head, or neck, where they can be disfiguring as well as dangerous.
Most skin cancers are removed surgically, using local anesthesia. The procedure may be a simple excision which can leave a barely visible scar. At times, more complex removal may need to be involved along with complex reconstructive procedures.

* To reduce the risk of bruising, you will be advised to stop taking fish oil, Vitamin E, herbal
medications, supplements, aspirin and anti-inflammatories 1-2 weeks prior to treatment, if
possible. Inform Dr. Young of all of your prescriptions, over-the-counter remedies and herbal
supplements, oral or topical products, and if you may be pregnant.
