A Custom Facial Implant could be a better choice for you if you have multiple areas that require volume enhancement | augmentation. The four areas that are mostly discussed are the: 1.  lateral cheek | malar area; 2. the submalar area; 3.  inferior orbital rim | under eye area, 4. and the perinasal area.  This is shown below in the picture of the 4 areas:

Depending on what areas you are deficient in you can think of using one of these implants or a combination of these implants. Or you can think about creating a custom implant. The video above shows part of the process of creating a custom implant. What we usually do is first carry out an initial consultation with you to determine what you need. If there are multiple areas than we can discuss either using multiple implants or creating a custom. Custom implants tend to cost more. What you need first is a 3D CT scan of your facial skeleton. Then we will send this in to one of the vendors who will then enter the CT scan into their software. Your doctor will then do another appointment with the softward specialist to generate a custom implant in 3D on the computer. This will then be used to create a custom model that you will then be brought in to see. At this next appointment, we will assess how the implant will look on and do additional adjustments. We will then send this into our implant vendor who will make another implant to match this new one that we adjusted. This process can be done multiple times to get the most correctly fitting implant. After this, we will then plan on the procedure date and the pre procedure date.

We look forward to helping you find what fits best and help you through the whole process.
