Here is a Healing diary of a Hairline Lowering Browlift for your information on recovery.

The picture above shows a person who has undergone a hairline lowering through browlifting techniques. Hairline lowering can create the impression of youth and | or femininity. The receding hairline is a tell tale sign of aging that can happen in both men and women. A youthful hairline begins around 5cm from the eyebrows or less. Anything above 5 cm signifies an elevated hairline.

How do you do a Hairline Lowering Browlift for a High Forehead? Basically it entails taking away skin in front of the current unwanted and higher hairline. The incision is located in the current hairline of a high forehead. By elevating the skin in front of this and behind this, the hairline is lowered and the extra skin is taken away and then the incision is closed. The goal is to try to lower the hairline down to the 5cm mark from the eyebrows. The hairline should be around 5 cm from the eyebrows to look like a younger hairline.

How much does a Hairline Lowering Brow Lift Cost? Browlifts generally range from 3500 – 15000. Hairline lowering tends to take more time to do and are usually more expensive than regular browlifts. These costs usually include follow-ups, anesthesia, and the surgeon’s fee. It is good to know what the costs include and whether it includes all these other services, etc. Finding the right surgeon will entail looking at their before and afters, meeting the doctors, price, intuition, the office | staff, reviews, etc. Going to the least expensive doctor as your main criteria is not the best idea.

Which Surgeon do I pick for a Hairline Lowering Browlift? We discussed this briefly before in the above paragraph. You should really like your surgeon first of all. Generally, if you like the surgeon, chances are that the surgeon likes you and that’s a good thing. See if you feel the doctor is a good person. Most of the time, if he is, he will likely be more interested in doing better for people in general. Looking at before and afters is very important. You should look at the incision and how the scars look. Are they tolerable and are the scars hard to see?  Price is always a consideration. Some pricing can be considered way to high and unaffordable for you. Obviously, if you can’t afford the particular surgeon’s price, you can’t usually have this particular doctor do your procedure. But if you really like that particular more expensive physician, you can always look into Financing your Hairline Lowering Browlift. Don’ choose the surgeon that is the least expensive.

How much lower can I Lower my High Forehead | High Hairline? Most doctors | surgeons say that the maximum, safe amount of hairline lowering is around 2 cm – 2.5 cm. Anything Lower than that is associated with more risk. The main risk is losing hair behind the hairline. Although this would not be ideal, you can get your hair back if this occurs through scalp reduction or hair grafting. But it is better not to lose hair through this procedure. If you want to lower the hairline more, there are options to tissue expand the hair through tissue expanders. This entails placing expanding plastic balloons that are inflated every 1-3 weeks that stretches the skin. This can create more skin and scalp to be pulled down lower to cover more than 2.5cm. The main issue is having the expander balloons in for several weeks and the odd appearance that this can create for the individual. Most people don’t choose this route for that reason.

What is the recovery like with a Hairline Lowering Browlift? Usually people say that you get most of your healing at one week. Scientifically, the wound separation studies show that the wounds heal 20% at 2 weeks, 60% at 6 weeks, and 80-90% at 6 months. Drains are usually placed and this is removed in the next 1-3 days. We have a drain care page for facelifts that can apply for browlifts here: Facelift Drain Care. Perhaps, the best way to learn about the recovery from a hairline lowering browlift is through a photo diary. Click here for our Hairline Lowering Browflit Healing Photo Diary. The sutures are removed 6 days after the surgery.  We usually like to see you the day after, day 3, day 6, 2-3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and then every year.
