Facial Beauty Theory: The Circles of Prominence Key Shapes and Distances in the Face
Through 190 participants we found strong support that the distance from the eyelid margin to the bottom of the eyebrow is ideally one iris width or the colored part of the eye. We found that raising a little more than this to the 1 1/2 iris width was less aesthetically pleasing than 1 iris width but more pleasing than the lower height of 1/2 iris width. We found that when it was raised up to 2 iris width, beauty decreased and this was less aesthetically pleasing to the 190 participants in this study.
