Background & Training

Dr. Philip Young is double board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Laser Surgery. He is also fellowship-trained by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has been recognized for his published work with the Sir Harold Delf Gillies Award.

A native of Washington State, Dr. Young attended Federal Way High School before enrolling at the University of Washington. Initially accepted into the School of Business, his career path changed following the loss of his mother to ovarian cancer—a pivotal moment that led him to pursue medicine.

He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and went on to earn his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Young then completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Southern California, where he trained alongside some of Beverly Hills’ most accomplished reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons, gaining extensive experience in advanced facial techniques.

Fellowship & Surgical Focus

Following residency, Dr. Young completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University under the guidance of Dr. Frederick Stucker, one of the field’s most respected surgeons and a founder of the FACE TO FACE humanitarian program. During this time, Dr. Young refined both cosmetic and reconstructive techniques, including procedures for:

Complex craniofacial and revision cases
